I reviewed the coffee shop millionaire program to bring an honest non bios prospective to you of how it works and whether or not it’s worth investing your time and money into.
By looking at the name you would think that this is going to be easy and I will be able to do it while relaxing at my local coffee shop. There are many programs available today for anyone that’s looking to get into building an online business and most of them are scams. The thing that makes the scams sell so well is there is always some truth mixed in with the sales pitch and they are presenting something that many of us have dreamed of.
I am no different then you, I had dreams of starting my own online business and being able to set my own hours and work from the comfort of home or anywhere else I choose. With the right training program it’s possible for anyone to create an online business today.
What’s Good About It
- It doesn’t cost a lot of money to get started
- The Affiliate program is sponsored through click-bank. (If you decide it’s not for you it will be easy to get a refund)
What’s Not So Good About It
- One of the biggest complaints I here is right after joining they start to hit you with up-sells. The first one they offer is “The Six Figure Success Club” This one is presented as something you can’t do without for $297.00. This is a classic Bait & Switch tactic where they get you into the program at a low price and then after you have committed they begin selling you stuff for more money.
- The training is outdated, what this means is the internet is constantly changing and Coffee shop millionaires training does not keep up with the changes.
Google makes an average of 500 algorithm changes a year. Although most of these are very minor changes and don’t really effect the way your website gets ranked, every so often there will be a major one released like the Panda and Penguin changes that were released a couple of years ago that put so many marketers out of business. As the internet is changing day to day I prefer all of my training to be current.
- Poor support
- Another one of their up-sells is having to pay for your website, domain and hosting.
You can’t make money online without first getting a website up and running and Anthony knows this all to well. After joining his program he will be trying to get you to buy a package that he receives more money from.
None of this is explained to you before you join and the reason for that is you probably wouldn’t join if you knew about all of extra money you have to come up with after joining.
Who Is It For
This program is marketed in a way that makes it look like anyone can do it. They even go so far as to claim you will be able to make $21,000.00 in your first 21 days.
I’ve been in business my whole life and I know from experience that building a business takes time and work. Building an online business is no different but with the right training and support anyone can be successful.
You will notice below the ticking time clock. This is the oldest trick in the book. What this does is create a sense of urgency. They are telling you to hurry up and join now before the clock hits zero and the price goes up. If you notice in the second screen shot the clock runs out and the price jumps up from $37.00 to $47.00.
When you try to leave the website page you will get a pop up with an offer to reduce the $197.00 membership price down to $27.00. Heather says that this offer is only good for today and will ask you to join now to would learn the secrets of making money on the internet.
I can’t believe that people are still using these sleazy tactics to lure new comers into their worthless programs. You can clearly see if they can’t convince you of what a great opportunity they are offering they quickly change hats and now it becomes all about the money. They start out at $37.00 then it jumps to $47.00 when the clock runs out and then it goes to $27.00 when you’re trying to leave the page.
My personal opinion is if the program is worth $47.00 per month then offer a free trial and if there is any value in it then people will pay the $47.00. I would rather pay $47.00 a month for a good program that offers value rather then pay $27.00 a month for something that is going to waste my time.
Tools & Training
The 2 most important things in any program are good training and good support. If a program is lacking in either one of these areas you will find yourself lost without answers at some point.
The first part of the training is laid out with 12 video training modules. These videos have been in place for years and are not updated with all of the changes that take place in the world of internet marketing. The video training covers 5 basic ways of marketing.
1. SEO “Search Engine Optimization”
SEO is a method of marketing that is used to get the search engines to recognize your website as a valuable resource and send you traffic. This type of marketing takes a lot of work and a lot of training in order to understand it.
2. Email Marketing
In order for this kind of marketing to work you need to build a list so you have someone you can send emails to. List building takes time and and in order to build a big list you need to first have traffic.
3. Video Marketing
Video marketing is a great way of marketing because videos are a lot easier to get ranked in the search engines. If you are good at producing your own videos this is a very effective way of generating traffic quickly.
4. Local Marketing
This is another good way of making money. Basically what you would be doing here is selling yourself to local businesses as a webmaster. Webmasters make good money for putting together websites for people and getting them ranked in the search engines. Most people don’t know very much about building websites and online marketing so if you can convince local business owners that you know what you’re doing and you’re good at it, the going rates are around $100.00 per hour to provide a service like this.
5. Article Marketing
Article marketing is another great way of generating traffic to your website. Article marketing is writing keyword optimized articles and then posting them in different article directories around the internet with links back to your website.
My Final Opinion On The Training
All of these methods of marketing are good but what you’re not getting is an in depth detailed training that actually teaches you how to implement each thing. What they are teaching is a vague description, and the main focus of the training tells you to outsource the work to different places on the internet.
Now I’m not against outsourcing and in some cases it really pays to outsource things like article marketing for instance. I would never recommend outsourcing to anyone that doesn’t have a clear understanding of how the different types of marketing work first.
They claim to have a live telephone line with support? Give me a break! I have heard nothing but complaints of not being able to contact them. You can submit tickets through their email address and wait for the response. Another ridiculous means of support. Even if they responded quickly, who wants to wait for an email when you’re having a problem that is holding up the production of your business.
Believe me when I tell you, you’re going to have many questions that need to be answered. Even the most experienced marketers come up against things they don’t know and have to get answers for. Good support is probably the most important thing to have when building an online business.
Bottom line is they get a thumbs down on support.
- The price is $47.00
- Then the up-sell to “The Six Figure Success Club“ is $297.00.
- The next thing is the website hosting package $100.00
- Total cost within your first week a whooping $444.00
By this time your head is spinning and you don’t know if you should keep pushing forward or try to get your money back. Most everyone that gets sucked into these kind of things believe they are being very cautious not to be scammed. The problem is you are dealing with professionals that are experts at pushing all of the right buttons.
My Final Opinion
When I started my research on this program I thought there might be something to it, but as I began uncovering the many under handed things about them it was clear to me that this was just another internet marketing scam.
My #1 Recommendation
For anyone that is really looking to get started with an online business that offers real value my number #1 recommendation is still Wealthy Affiliate. Listed below are just a few of the many things that they offer and the trial period really is free with no strings attached.
